(a sneak peek)

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
This year is starting off in a somewhat normal way. While we have become somewhat accustomed to change, school is a place that traditionally has provided students with structure and normalcy. Everyone at the Owasso 6th Grade Center is working diligently to create an awesome environment for your child to be a part of; whether it's in person or online. I am excited to be involved in your child's life and learning this year!
6th Grade Science Units include:
* Lab Safety and Lab Equipment
* Thermal Energy
* Matter/Cycles (Water & Rock)
* Weather & Climate
* Waves
* Geo Science
* Cells (functions and parts of an animal and plant cell)
* Body Systems (how the systems interact)
About Me:
I grew up in a small 2A school district where everyone knew everyone. Oklahoma has been my home for most of my life. I graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Education and a minor in mathematics. My teaching career has spanned about 21 years during which I have taught: 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th-grade math, 8th grade Pre-Algebra, and physical education. I have also had the pleasure of coaching softball and cheerleading. My passion lies in the areas of math and science. By teaching science, I get to combine both! My family of five has lived in Owasso for 15 years. My husband and I have 3 daughters. Maci and Kayi are both graduates of Owasso High and attending Oklahoma State University. Ella is currently a junior at Owasso. We love this community..... I look forward to a great year with your child!
